Outdoor all-weather sports facility
Site clearance, groundworks and construction of an outdoor sports facility with 47m long by 34m wide all-weather surface capable of hosting multiple sports (eg soccer, GAA, tennis, hockey, handball, volleyball, basketball etc). Surrounded on 3 sides by roll top fencing and on the 4th side by a 47m long, 5m high sports wall with an appropriate foundation which does not have struts on the back of the wall. Project also includes clearance of an area to the north of the wall (see associated site drawings) and installation of a hardpack surface to allow for handball. For this reason, there can be no support struts on either side of the 47m wall. Construction of a small storage shed is also included in the project. Appropriate floodlighting will also be installed.

See attached drawings. Works will involve demolition of a pre-existing building and clearance of scrub and small trees from the site. The site is level with an mix of tarmacadam surface and grass. There is sufficient access to the site. The north end of the site, containing trees and scrub, must be levelled in preparation for a hardpack surface capable of hosting handball (see attached drawings).

See attached drawings. Construction of an T type foundation will be required, as struts on the back (north facing aspect) of the wall will not be suitable. The wall can be precast or otherwise. A small equipment store must be built into the back of the wall (see attached drawings).

A surface similar to that found on a hockey pitch may be suitable. Markings must be included similar to those shown in the attached drawings.
