Catering Concession in Three Lots (Leopardstown, Fairyhouse and Navan Racecourses)
This competition concerns the provision of catering services to three racecourses owned by the Racecourse Division of Horse Racing Ireland. The three lots in question are as follows:
Lot 1 - Leopardstown Racecourse (Leopardstown Club Ltd);
Lot 2 - Fairyhouse Racecourse (Fairyhouse Club Ltd);
Lot 3 - Navan Racecourse (Navan Races Ltd).
Interested parties are invited to consult the associated qualification questionnaire, which contains further detail regarding the competition and precise instructions concerning the submission of Expressions of Interest.
It is emphasised that the subject-matter of this competition comprises a service concession, in that the successful economic concessionaire(s) will be remunerated for the provision of the required services through the sale of food to members of the public.
As a service concession, this competition is not subject to the provisions of Directive 2004/18/EC.
Economic operators are advised that the economic risk inherent to the delivery of the required service will rest fully with the successful concessionaire(s). The Contracting Authorities offer no guarantee, express or implied, regarding the commercial viability or profitability of these concessions.
It is emphasised that successful candidates will be required to propose financial contributions, payable to the Contracting Authorities, for the right to exploit the required service. The tender document issued to successful candidates will contain further detail in this regard.
