Energy Efficient Retro-Fit Works - Energy Efficient Retrofit Works to some School Buildings for Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board (KWETB)

Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board (KWETB) plan to establish a services contract for Energy Efficiency retrofit works in a number of existing school buildings in the Kildare and Wicklow areas. This is a request for expressions of interest for tender pre – qualification. Please refer to the Pre Qual. submission appended to this Notice. In total there are approximately 9no buildings in the Kildare region and 12no buildings in the Wicklow region that are to be retrofitted. The total combined area is in the region of 50,000 m2. Works proposed to reduce thermal and electrical energy consumption in each building includes improving wall and roof insulation (where possible), draught proofing, controlling electrical equipment, isolating local circuits, intelligent lighting controls, energy efficient light fittings, condensing gas boilers in lieu of inefficient oil boilers, controlling heating plant, etc.
