HSE 3152 - Invitation to Tender to operate a retail shop and café in the Galway University Hospitals

Galway University Hospitals (University Hospital Galway and Merlin Park University Hospital) wishes to appoint a Service Provider who will be responsible for operating the retail unit and café located in the hospitals. The contract will be operated as a lease on a profit share basis between the Service Provider and the hospitals. The tender will include a requirement for tenderers to offer funding proposals for an investment necessary for the refurbishment of a shop and entrance area of University Hospital Galway (UHG). The HSE reserves the right to extend this arrangement, by agreement with the successful Service Provider, to other hospitals within the West/North West Hospitals Group, if required. As the right to operate the retail unit and café is offered as a service concession, this tender process is not subject to Directive 2004/18/EC or the implementing regulations in Ireland (S.I. No. 329 of 2006) (together the “Procurement Rules”). The tender process will be undertaken in accordance with the rules set out here and will not be awarded under the open, restricted, competitive dialogue or negotiated procedure pursuant to the Procurement Rules. The process will involve an advertisement on www.etenders.gov.ie for any interested parties to offer a proposal in response to this Invitation to Tender. Tenderers should submit their proposal by completing the attached Tender Response Document.
