The CDETB Curriculum Development Unit (CDU) on behalf of the Department of Education and Skills is facilitating approximately 200 schools (based on initial indications) in their disposal of unwanted radioactive materials. The contract will be awarded to a single operator and the substantial part of the contract is expected to be completed by mid December 2013. The disposal operation will be divided into clusters as schools respond. Each category will, where appropriate, be grouped in clusters up to approximately twenty to thirty schools at a time. Please see Appendix 1 Price Schedule which lists the radioactive materials for removal and disposal. Appendix 1 also includes additional information that may be required.
