BE/SU/25/06/2013 - Supply of Steel Wheel Rims

The Contracting Authority proposes awarding a Contract over a three year period for the supply of steel wheel rims fitted with standard commercial vehicle inflation valves in a range of sizes for a range of bus and coach types Scania Volvo/Leyland VDL/DAF Mercedes Alexander Dennis BMC Iris Bus Iveco Optare. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to extend this Contract up to a period of 24 months. .It is the intention of the Contracting Authority to award this contract to one supplier. if this is not feasible the contract may be awarded to more than one supplier. In order to be considered for participation in a tendering competition for this contract, suitable qualified interested parties must complete and submit the pre-qualification questionnaire provided. The intention will be to arrive at a Tender Panel of potential suppliers/service providers for formal Invitation to Tender (ITT), against the requirement and Conditions of Contract. It is intended that following PQQ evaluation, and depending on the quality of details submitted, that at least five (5) entities will be invited to submit formal Invitation to Tender (ITT) documents. Following receipt of tenders, Bus Eireann may negotiate as necessary with one or more tenderers and will award the contract the most economically advantageous offer received. If a request to participate is submitted by a group of suppliers, then those suppliers, if awarded the contract shall assume such legal form by incorporation, partnership, or otherwise so as to enable them to contract as a single entity. It will be necessary for the satisfactory performance of the contract for the group to state a single addressee responsible for the receipt and processing of the participating orders and resolving any problems relating to the contract
