HRI now invites responses from suitably qualified and experienced insurance brokers for the provision of insurance broking and related services to the group. The role of the selected broker may include but will not be limited to the following:

·         Annual review (jointly with HRI representatives) of the insurance schedule to incorporate business and insurance market change, alterations to the policy over the previous 12 months, sums insured and uninsured risks as well as strategy for renewal.

·         Conduct EU/National tender processes on behalf of HRI in relation to the procurement of underwriting services.

·         Provide HRI & subsidiaries with relevant policy information in a timely manner once policies have been placed (no later than 6 – 8 weeks)

·         Manage claims and provide bi monthly reports on the status of same to include advice as necessary

·         Advise HRI on relevant insurance matters, for example in relation to contractual matters

·         Provide insurance and broking services as may be sought by HRI and its subsidiaries from time to time

·         Risk management 

·      This is a two stage process within one. Candidates are required to satisfy the pre-qualification criteria in order for their tender to be eligible for evaluation under the Award Criteria.

·      Failure to submit detailed responses to each of the pre-qualification requirements may result in the submission not being qualified for detailed evaluation and application of the award criteria.

·      Without prejudice to the principle of equal treatment, the contracting authority is not obliged to engage in a clarification process in respect of questionnaires with missing or incomplete information. Therefore, candidates are advised to ensure that they return FULLY COMPLETED questionnaires in order to avoid the risk of elimination from the competition.

·      Responses should be concise and should address the requirements of the ITT in the same format and sequence as they appear in the attached documents

·      The Contracting Authority will not be responsible for costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers involved in this contract award process.

·      Contract award may be subject to satisfactory performance at interview and may be subject to approval by competent authorities.

·      Emailed or late submissions / tenders will not be accepted.

·      No commitment of any kind, contractual or otherwise shall exist unless and until a formal written contract has been executed by or on behalf of the contracting authority.  Any notification of preferred bidder status by the contracting authority shall not give rise to any enforceable rights by the tenderer. The contracting authority may cancel this public procurement process at any time prior to a formal written contract being executed by or on behalf of the contracting authority. The contracting authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest priced or any tender.

·      The supply of services under this notice will be governed by standard Terms and Conditions of Horse Racing Ireland.
