IADT 04/13 - Management of IADT Staff and Student Restaurants and Coffee Shops

This Request for Proposal (RFP) sets out the requirements of Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT) for providing Catering Services to students, staff and visitors to its campus at Kill Avenue, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, Ireland.  IADT is inviting suitably qualified companies to submit proposals for the management of these services in line with Public Procurement guidelines, with a view to commencement of a new contract in September 2013.

Current student numbers at IADT are around 2,500 spread over two academic Faculties: the Faculty of Film, Art and Creative Technologies and the Faculty of Enterprise and Humanities. There are also three Directorates: the Directorate of Academic and Student Affairs, the Directorate of Corporate Affairs and the Directorate of Creativity, Innovation and Research. The Institute is also home to the internationally recognized National Film School.

The current core catering service consists of 3 trading outlets on campus; The Main Student Restaurant, Staff Restaurant and a Coffee Dock each in separate locations. There is also an on-going requirement for Hospitality in the form of on site meetings and conferences, services to the Media Cube, an ad hoc requirement for a bar license and the provision of a vending service.

IADT intends to hold a Market Day meeting with all of the tenderers to provide companies with the opportunity to visit IADT and view all the catering facilities on site. The market Day will take place at the Institute on Wednesday May 29th at 2.30pm.  A maximum of 2 representatives per tenderer are entitled to attend the site visit.  Any questions or clarifications you have will be addressed at the Market Day.
