Iarnrod Eireann invites you to express an interest in the following tender process which is being conducted under the negotaited procedure.
This tender process is made up of 2 seperate lots and companies are permitted to bid for one or both lots.
[Lot A] Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) has a requirement to engage the services of a suitably qualified/accredited HP partner to provide hardware and software support to its existing HP/3Com Gigabit Ethernet Network. The Gigabit Ethernet Network is the primary communications medium for Station Services, Customer Information Systems and Automatic Ticket Validation Machines (ATVM) at all refurbished and unmanned stations nationwide. This requirement will involve an emergency call out facility with a maximum permitted response time to site. (Contract Duration/Scope: Technical Support (Hardware and Software) for a 24 month period with an option to extend for a maximum of an additional 3 years).
[Lot B] IÉ are looking to engage with suitably qualified/accredited suppliers of networking equipment which will be used to expand and interface with the existing HP/3Com network at a number of new stations across the IÉ network. It will be the responsibility of all participants at the pre-qualification stage to demonstrate that they have the capabilities to enable any chosen hardware solution to seamlessly interface with the current HP/3Com installations. (Contract Duration/Scope: Hardware supply on a drawdown basis over a 24 month period).
To participate, interested parties are required to download a copy of the attached pre-qualification questionnaire and fill in all the required information. Questionnaires (and support documentation) should be returned to sinead.leonard@irishrail.ie by the closing date of 03/06/2013 at 12:00pm. A shortlist of the most suitable companies will be established and will be invited to tender in line with the advertised selection criteria.
