Ballydesmond Public Park - Development of a public park at a 0.5 acre brown field site along Main St Ballydesmond to include playground, pathways, public lighting, landscaping, picnic area, event area and garden areas.

This project entails the development of a public park along the main street at a 0.5 acre brownfield site along Main Street Ballydesmond. The facilities for the community at this site are to include: • Construction of a natural themed, inclusive, public children’s playground amenity. • Construction of accessible pathways from the public road through and around the park grounds • Construction of a covered structure (circa 25m2) to provide the local community with a facility to host meetings and to stage community events. There is a requirement for power and lighting to be provided to the structure. • Incorporate public lighting to the park • Scheme to include interpretive features representing the Sliabh Luachra heritage • Landscaping, wildflower areas, biodiversity planting and tree planting works • Erection of new boundary fencing and planting as boundary treatment • Supporting informational, locational and interpretative wayfinding signage, seating and services • A connection pathway with the adjacent GAA grounds. • The ground is proposed to be compartmentalised into a playground area, a raingarden, an event area and garden areas
