Dear Sir/Madam,
Tenders are invited for a fixed price lump sum for the above project comprising of the following: Repair of existing pitched and flat roofs, plaster repair work and drainage works, at Gorey Community School, Gorey, Co. Wexford.
Tenders are to be returned in hardcopy format to D. O Sullivan Consulting Engineers Ltd, “Beara House,” 11 Cluainin, Gorey, Co. Wexford Y25 RK73 or alternatively via email to info@osconsulting.ie before Tuesday 20th December 2022 at 1:00pm. The following documentation must be completed in full and returned 1) Declaration of Suitability, 2) Tender and Schedule FTS6 and 3) Bill of Quantities provided.
Please note it is the responsibility of the tenderers to ensure that the tenders are submitted prior to the deadline.

Important Notice:
Tenderers are required to read the DoES Suitability Declaration for Small Works carefully and to make sure that they meet the minimum standards stated therein. Tenderers who do not meet those requirements should not submit a tender as they will be excluded at award stage. All Tenderers are liable for their own costs of tendering.

A.1) Appointment
The Client has appointed Diarmaid O' Sullivan as Project Supervisor for Design Stage of the Project (Article 4 of the Regulations)
A.2) Preliminary Health & Safety Plan
In accordance with Article 4(1)b of the Regulations, a health and safety plan in a preliminary form as defined in the regulations, has been prepared for the purpose of providing information to the Project Supervisor for Construction Stage. A copy of the said Plan is attached.
The Client intends that the firm appointed as main contractor for the construction works shall undertake the duties of Project Supervisor for Construction Stage of the project as set out in Article 6 of the Regulations. The appointment of the Contractor as Project Supervisor for Construction Stage is separate to and independent of the contract for the construction works.
The tenderer is required to examine and familiarise his/her self with the site and the information supplied regarding the nature and extent of the proposed works, so as to be satisfied as to what is required to be done to fulfill the duties of the PSCS and also what measures are required to be taken to meet the requirements of both the contract and also the regulations in the execution of the works. All costs arising in respect of these matters are to be included in the tender figure. The client will not be liable for any such costs which are reasonably foreseeable and which are not so included.
It should be noted that where the contractor or any sub-contractor carries out any design (as defined in the regulation) the duties set out in article 5 apply.
Tenderers should familiarize themselves with Technical Guidance Documentation provided by the Department of Education.
These works are classed as Summer Works for the school. These works must be completed during the 2023 summer school holidays.
Tenderers should note that the exact completion date shall be confirmed prior to awarding of tender*.
*Observations in relation to the program of works and the above dates for start and completion should be made at time of tendering. Any over-run of the intended and agreed date for completion shall result in an imposed loss to the contractor.
