BIM 2022-031 - Provision of Marine Stewardship Council Re-Assessment and subsequent maintenance for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland Bottom Grown Mussel sectors

The RFT has ended, you cannot answer the invitation.

Growing environmental concerns about the state of fish stocks and harvesting practices and the impact of fisheries on the marine environment is becoming a major factor in determining market access, reputation, and consumption trends. The bottom grown mussel industry have taken a proactive step to the demonstration of their sustainability credentials through successfully pursuing certification to Marine Stewardship Council Sustainable Fisheries Standard (Announced July 2013). BIM wishes to invite tenders from suitably qualified certification bodies to tender for a contract to provide re-assessment and maintenance services for certificate numbers MSC-F-31389 and MSC-F-31386. The primary purpose of this tender is re- assessment of the certificates and the completion of the associated 4 surveillance audits. Please refer to the enclosed Request for Tender (RFT) documents for further information.
