Provision of Public Dockless Bicycle Share Scheme for the Groody Valley & Environs/Castletroy Area

Limerick City and County Council is interested in the deployment of a public dockless bicycle hire scheme within the Castletroy Area at no financial cost to the Council. The scheme must be able to be deployed and operate effectively with minimum Council input and without the need for any capital or operational funding by Limerick City and County Council. The compact nature of Limerick city, and its relatively flat topography, lends the city to cycling. The dockless (stationless) bicycle share scheme should work alongside the existing NTA Coca-Cola Bicycle Scheme, but not mirroring the fixed-origin of that scheme, and should expand the service to the key residential, employment and educational districts of Castletroy area as identified in the Limerick Metropolitan Cycle Network Study, the draft LSMATS.
