Dear Supplier,
South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association (SEMRA) invites tenders for the provision of one (1) four wheel drive first response vehicle with off-road capability to replace an existing vehicle which is to be retired.
SEMRA is a not-for-profit voluntary emergency search and rescue service to the mountains of the south-east of Ireland. We are occasionally called on by the Gardaí to assist in lowland searches for missing persons or other incidents.
The first response vehicles, such as the 4x4 sought in thsi tender, are used for the insertion of search and rescue parties into the mountains from trail heads and the recovery of same and casualties back to the trail head.
