Medite 2022 - EPP - Request for Quotation for an Energy System at Medite Europe DAC

MEDITE Europe DAC is intended to replace and upgrade energy delivery to both thermal oil systems and steam systems for their Line 1 system. The system currently consists of two biomass boilers that produce steam for heating up the ambient air to dry fibres in flash tube dryers and for the other processes such as fibre refining, blending, and heating. The current line 1 press uses the heat from the thermal oil heated by the gas fired thermal oil heater. These boilers which utilize biomass and the gas fired thermal oil heater will be replaced with a wet fuel grate style furnace which will deliver hot gas to drying systems and thermal oil to heat a press and generate steam. The scope of work is to supply a single independent energy system with thermal oil heater to provide heat to two flash dryers in line 1 (one for core and one for face) and to line 1 press. Included in scope is a long run of hot gas duct to reach existing dryers, and flange points after included primary pumps for an upgraded primary thermal oil circuit, by others. The scope will be supplying, guaranteeing the process and installation supervision of all elements of the energy system including overseeing installation and warrantee of the refractory. Project is to be delivered in late 2023 and running by early 2024. This is a brownfield installation so careful consideration of existing infrastructure will be needed in consultation with Medite and/or Medite representative engineering support.
