MUDC-280 - Pomeroy Forestry Building and Trails

The Contract is for the provision of a new forestry visitor centre and associated external works (including hardstanding and landscaping), a new specialist sensory garden, a new and upgraded forestry trail and new forestry signage located at the existing Pomeroy Forest site, Tanderagee Road, Pomeroy, Co. Tyrone. The Contract Period is anticipated to be approximately 9 months. All works are expected to be completed by April/May 2023. The new building will be iconic in nature and to a high specification. This building will act as a visitor centre, provide forest user amenities as well as a shared community building with an open general area which will complement the outside forest area. The building will offer: • a large multi-use space (with retractable seating for approx. 150 people) • 2 activity rooms • 1 office • 1 store room • Toilets, changing facilities and showers (dual access from within the building and from outside). • Kitchen facilities The area surrounding the building to have associated landscaping, car-park provision and path infrastructure.
