Hire of a Consultant Engineer - Feasibility Study for the Still Pond and Weir, Ouse Stream, River Urrin, Tributary of the River Slaney, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford

It is proposed to employ the services of a consultant engineer to conduct all necessary surveys and reports on the implications of removing the Still Pond Weir and constructing a sill/rock ramp fish pass at the outlet of the pond. The regrading of the riverbed to prevent further bed erosion. This project will consist of the hire of a consultant engineer: The consultant engineer will conduct all necessary surveys and reports and report to IFI on: 1. A survey on water levels entering and leaving the Still Pond 2. A survey of the Still Pond itself to include depths of silt, etc… 3. Inspection of the structure of the road bridge at the outfall of the Still Pond 4. The construction of a rock-ramp fish pass at a site closer to the Still Pond outfall 5. The removal of the existing weir 6. A full feasibility report on all the options available to IFI and the Local Authority to inform on the most appropriate way forward to remove the existing weir, construct a sill/rock ramp fish pass to maintain water levels within the Still Pond which will not cause flooding The consultant will be responsible for the procurement of all the necessary environmental and technical surveys required for the preparation of a feasibility report.
