Re: Invitation to Tender for Construction Works (Open Procedure)
For: Accommodation, a resource room, internal alterations to the existing School building, external signage, additional car parking and all Associated site works at Killarney Community College, New Road, Killarney, Co. Kerry.

The Employer invites you to tender for construction works for the above, as detailed below.
Form of Contract
The Form of Contract will be: PW-CF5 MINOR BUILDING and CIVIL ENGINEERING WORKS
Tender Returns
The tender return must contain tform of tender, completed suitability declaration form along with a fully completed pricing schedule.
The latest time and date for return of Tenders is: 12.00am on Thursday 12th May 2022
Tenders submitted in any other manner, by post in hand or via email will be deemed invalid tenders. Unsigned Form of Tender will likewise be deemed invalid tenders. The signature for the Form of Tender must be that of a Principal or Director of the firm. Tenders must be in the format prescribed in the Form of Tender and all required documents must be submitted. Late tenders will not be accepted.
Unsigned Form of Tender will likewise be deemed invalid tender.
Queries
Queries must be submitted by email via the eTenders query facility – See contract notice.
All queries must be submitted as soon as possible and, in any event not later than 5 working days before latest time for receipt of Tender although the Employer may at its discretion respond to queries raised after that date. If the Employer responds to a query, it will send the response to each Tenderer, unless the Tenderer asking the query has clearly designated the query as confidential and the Employer agrees that it should be treated as confidential.

The basis of assessment of the Tenders is detailed in the Instructions to Tenderers.

Site Visit Details
Tenderers are strongly advised to visit and check the site relative to all aspects of the work and include for same in their tender. No claims whatsoever will be entertained by the Engineer due to the lack of knowledge of site conditions or existing installations.
Tendering contractors may visit the site by prior arrangement with Kerry ETB. Please email requests for site visit to the etenders messaging service to arrange an appointment for a site visit. Please note that site visits will, be facilitated outside of normal school only.
Tendering contractors visiting the school must report to the school office on arrival and complete a contract tracing form and adhere to current public health guidelines, including hand sanitising, mask wearing and social distancing at all times while in the school.
The Department of Education & Skills is subject to the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act 1997. If a tenderer considers that any of the information supplied in response to this notice is either commercially sensitive or confidential, this should be highlighted and reasons for its sensitivity given .The relevant material will, in response to a request under the Act, be examined in the light of exemptions provided for in the Act.
