2209 M&E Emergency Works Upgrade - Emergency Works Upgrade of Mechanical & Electrical Systems

The mechanical services upgrade scope of the works includes:- a) Full strip out of the existing oil fired heating centre and heating distibution system and disposal to a licvenced waste facility b) Upgrade and conversion to LPG and installation of a new condensing gas fired boiler, heating center and new two pipe heating distribution system and zoned controls to current TGD standards c) All associated builders and civil works The scope of work for the Electrical Upgrade Emergency Works project includes as follows:- a) Isolation, removal and disposal of the redundant existing services to a licenced waste facility b) Provision of new galvanised steel containment systems as required to fully contain all new wiring and cabling systems – existing containment to be stripped out completely c) Upgrade the incoming ESB Supply and relocate to the new Main Distribution Board d) Upgrade the Power Distribution System including provision of a new Main Distribution Board e) Upgrade the general service and equipment power systems including new heating system power and controls cabling f) Upgrade of all general lighting fixtures with new LED units throughout the school g) Upgrade the ICT Structured Cabling System throughout the school h) Upgrade to a new self-contained emergency lighting system throughout the school to current IS 3217 standard. i) New L3 Fire Detection & Alarm System throughout the school to current IS3218 standard j) Upgrade the protective services including intruder alarm, access control, and CCTV k) All associated alterations to the existing electrical services installations as required l) Testing & commissioning and certification of the upgraded Electrical installations m) All associated builders and civil works, including trenching and ducting, opening up, making good, weatherproofing & fire proofing and re-decoration to match existing finishes n) Maintenance of the new electrical installations for the defects liability period (12 months)
