Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) invites suitably qualified companies to participate in a tender process for Seat Trim Repair Services.
Scope of Works:
Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) is seeking to enter into a long-term supply agreement with a specialist company with a demonstrable track record in the manufacture, supply and install of new seat coverings for IÉ’s fleet of rail passenger vehicles and are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced companies to participate in a tender process.
The seat covers will be manufactured using material that will be supplied to the successful contractor by IÉ on a ‘free issue’ basis. All IÉ fleets are fitted with moquette material, other than the 22000 ICR Fleet and the First-Class carriages of the MKIV fleet which have leather covers. A plastic insert armrest is fitted on the ICR and MKIV fleets, with all armrests on the other fleets fitted with moquette.
The scope of the services required under this contract includes the collection of damaged trims and new material from IÉ, the repair and/or replacement of the seat trims/armrests and the delivery of the repaired/replaced seat trims/armrests back to IÉ.
Full specification and details of the service required by IÉ, including technical specifications and indicative quantities required under the contract will only be provided to qualified applicants at the tender stage of the process.

IÉ is now inviting applicants for the Pre-Qualification Stage of this 2 stage process.
Stage 1: To be considered for inclusion to the shortlist of companies who will be issued with ITT documentation, you are required to include all relevant information required as part of this notice. Companies will be measured and scored in line with the advertised selection criteria.
Stage 2: A shortlist of companies will be provided with ITT documentation.
