SC 09/21 - Supply of High Silica Sand to Edenderry Power Limited

Edenderry Power Limited has a requirement for the supply of high silica sand. The approximate annual usage is 1,200 tonnes however this may increase or decrease over the duration of the contract. Orders will be placed five working days in advance of the required delivery date however there may be circumstances were orders placed closer to the required delivery date. The sand is to be provided in bulk and be able to be transported in a 26.5 tonnes bulker tanker. The fluidising medium shall be naturally sieved, and the particle size should comply with the following specification. Fraction Size: < 1.20 mm --------------- 100% < 0.80 mm --------------- 40% < 0.50 mm --------------- 10% Softening Temperature acc. To DIN 51730 ------------ > 1100oC Moisture content < 0.5% This type of material is to be a high quality washed / dried silica sand with a semi-rounded or rounded particle shape. Sharp edged sand is not suitable for this process. The successful Tenderer may need to provide a sand sample to be sent for approval to the Boiler Manufacturer in Finland to have an independent chemical analysis carried out on it to determine its suitability for use unless they can provide evidence of an independent chemical analysis carried out in the last three years. The sample / evidence of an independent chemical analysis must be approved before we can process to contract award. Random sampling will be carried out over the duration of the contract.
