LOUGHS AGENCY WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO TENDER FOR
NATIVE OYSTER HABITAT ENHANCEMENT
REQUIREMENT
A requirement exists for the procurement of shell cultch material for use in the Loughs Agency’s shellfish habitat enhancement plans for 2022.
Suppliers who can source suitable shell cultch consisting of oyster, mussel, clam, cockle and queen scallop shell are invited to tender for the delivery of this service. There will be a requirement that this shell material be free from all organic material prior to delivery to Loughs Agency. It is expected that a minimum requirement of 300 tonnes of material is needed at this stage however total received will be dependent on availability and cost.
All handling, shipping, importation and transport costs to Lough Foyle must be included in the tender price including offloading of material at the storage site. It is expected that the supplier will deliver the material in 26t curtain top tipper Lorries however other options will be considered. The tenderer will ensure all appropriate Animal by Product legislation is adhered to. A hardstanding site on the shores of Lough Foyle will be made available for offloading and storage of the material. This site may be in Northern Ireland or Ireland and as such tender costs for delivery should be split into options for each jurisdiction if this has an impact on total delivery costs.
This scientific research work links directly to food production and as such has been deemed as essential work under the Covid-19 guidance supplied by the Department of the Taoiseach.

TENDERER CLARIFICATION REQUESTS
Tenderers may seek clarification in relation to this Tender competition where they consider any part of the documentation or any other aspect of this procurement process is unclear.
Any clarification relating to this procurement must be communicated using the eTenders messaging facility.
The identity of the tenderer seeking clarifications will not be disclosed. Where a tenderer believes that a clarification is confidential in nature, the request for clarification should clearly identify that the tenderer wishes the response to be kept confidential and not communicated to all tenderers.
Loughs Agency is not obliged to accept the lowest or any tender.
Late tenders will not be considered.
