Dear Sirs,

 

 

 

On behalf of the Laois & Offaly Education and Training Board, we are pleased to invite you to submit a tender quotation for the Phased works, including fit-out works at New Offices for LOETB at IDA Park Portlaoise- PHASE 1 and Reverting to classrooms of Old Offices Prefabs at LOETB at Ridge Road, Portlaoise classrooms – PHASE 2

 

 

 

  1. Internal design/configuration of 615m² Office Space, Portlaoise Business & Technology Park, Mountrath Road, Portlaoise, Co. Laois (P1)

  2. Internal design/reconfiguration of Prefabricated Units, LOETB Administration Offices, Ridge Road, Portlaoise, Co Laois (P2)

 

 

 

The contract for the works will be PW-CF6 Government Short Public Works Contract.

 

 

 

The successful Contractor will produce a current Tax Clearance Cert and appropriate insurance cover, as indicated in the Works Schedule Document preliminaries section, before signing a contract.

 

 

 

Contractors must upload to the extenders portal scans of fully priced Volume C – Works Schedule, Volume B - Tender and Schedule, and the completed and signed suitability assessment declaration QW2.

 

 

 

One date will be given for the site visit of both sites at later notice. No further site visit dates will be possible.

 

 

 

File naming to be as per Instruction to Tenderers document at “Format of Tender Submissions (Instructions Section 4.5)“ page 28:

 

 

 

Tenders to be uploaded on ETenders by noon on Friday 11th June 2021. 

 

The Contracting Authority is using the Tender Postbox facility and tenders must be submitted electronically via the etenders postbox facility on (http://www.etenders.gov.ie/) only. Tenderers must ensure that they give sufficient time to upload their tender response.    

 

The Contracting Authority is not responsible for corruption in electronic documents. Tenderers must ensure electronic documents are not corrupt.

 

In responding to this tender all tenders must follow the format of the tender document and respond to each element of the tender document in the order as set out in this RFT. Tenders should produce their response as a SINGLE UPLOADED FILE, if possible, which is clearly labelled, page numbered and indexed.

 

Tenderers must ensure that they give themselves sufficient time to upload and submit all required tender documentation before the tender closing date/time. Tenderers should take into account the fact that upload speeds vary. There is a maximum of 2.14 GB for individual files sent to the electronic postbox and a one-hour limit for upload. In order to submit a document to the electronic postbox, please note that you must click “Submit Response”. After submitting you can still modify and re-send your response up until response deadline. Tenderers should be aware that the ‘Submit Response’ button will be disabled automatically upon the expiration of the response deadline.

 

Tenderers not familiar with uploading on eTenders should ensure they familiarise themselves with the process.

 

It is the responsibility of the tenderer to ensure that their tender is complete and is uploaded by the designated deadline. Tenders that are received late or via other means WILL NOT be considered in this public procurement competition.

 

 

 

Contractors must upload scenes of a signed and dated form of tender, pricing schedule and a signed and dated suitability assessment declaration to be deemed a valid tender.

 

 

 

It is intended that the successful tenderer will complete the Phase 1 works to get the offices at the end of July ready for occupation in early August 2021 and that prefabs at Phase 2 will be prepared for the end of August occupation to allow school opening in September.

 

 

 

All tender drawings and pricing documents for the works will be uploaded to this RFT and will not be issued in hard copy.
