ASI052021 - Call for Expressions of Interest for an Evaluation of the Advocacy function of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland

The ASI is inviting applications to tender for an evaluation of its advocacy function. The advocacy function works to achieve the organisation’s strategic priority of advocating for the rights and resources for people with dementia, their carers and communities. Purpose This evaluation will examine the impact and value of The ASI’s advocacy work, both political and voice, on the organisation as a whole and with external stakeholders. From the point of view of advocacy resourcing, staffing and organisational cohesion, the evaluation will also inform whether these needs are being adequately met and how this should be addressed. It will inform future requirements and work plans and ensure an understanding of how the advocacy function can develop to improve its effectiveness and impact both internally and externally. Scope This evaluation will take account of the advocacy work in The ASI since 2017 following the completion of the Atlantic Philanthropies (AP) funding agreement. It will be informed by the report that was produced at the completion of this AP funding - ‘Voice and Advocacy in Dementia Campaign’.
