Bord Iascaigh Mhara 2021-24 - Provision of Talent Integration Programme for the Seafood Industry

The services comprise of developing the capabilities of seafood companies to attract talent and provide enhanced HR services to companies in the seafood industry. Within the seafood industry many SME’s do not have a dedicated human resources function. Therefore, when companies are scaling up and there is a need to recruit additional human resources, it has been identified that the process of recruitment can lack the required planning and structure. As a result, the seafood industry is not optimising its position to attract new graduates and talent, induction programmes are ad hoc, leading to low levels of talent retention. The objective of this talent integration programme is to assist participating companies develop the skills and templates of how to recruit, develop and retain new and existing staff, enabling a more professional and stable workforce, to support company growth.
