PMO-FR-101.04 - Shannon Town & Environs Flood Relief Scheme_Ground Investigation Works

As part of the Shannon Town & Environs Flood Relief Scheme, Clare County Council seeks detailed quotations to carry out ground investigation works which will involve ground investigation (GI) boreholes, slit trenches, trial pits and pavement cores along the length of the embankments as well as on the breakwater. All associated temporary traffic management, laboratory testing and the production of a factual Ground Investigation Report will also be included. The purpose of the ground investigation is to assess the condition of the existing embankments and determine the suitability of the embankments and ground for establishing the location and design of new, higher embankments, and/or for the raising of existing embankments. The Contractor shall take on the role of PSCS of the ground investigation works and shall include the role of PSCS for the archaeological investigation.
