Procurement of a Conservation Architect/ Urban design led team to deliver Design Guidance document for the development of historic urban plots in town centres

Dear Applicant,

Galway County Council (the Council/ Contracting Authority) is seeking tender submissions from suitably qualified Conservation and urban-design led architectural teams to produce a () design guidance document for Galway County Council. The document will propose and identify design solutions for the potential development of historic urban plots in town centre locations.

The design guidance document is being prepared with joint funding from Galway County Council and the Rural Regeneration Development Fund as administered by the Department of Community and Rural Economic Development.

The design guidance document is required to inform and identify the potential future design options of core town centre sites which have heretofore remained redundant within town centres. These lands are valuable development sites which require careful and sensitive design in order to conserve and enhance the historic core of County Galway’s town centres. They offer opportunities for town centre residential, and small-scale business/ commercial opportunities.

Galway County Council request that applicants submit a tender for this project in electronic form, before the 1700 hours on 16^th February 2021 in accordance with the instructions set out.
