Specialist Training on Auditing Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) for Veterinary Inspectors and Technical Agricultural Officers

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) is seeking tenders to provide specialist training for Veterinary Inspectors and Technical Agricultural Officers, by a specialist trainer, on auditing Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) of Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) Approved Meat and Liquid Milk Food Business Operators (FBOs). The trainer from the successful tenderer must have an in-depth knowledge of and recent experience in working in large scale, exporting meat processing plants, in order to convey the FBO perspective in relation to compliance with the Food Safety legislation to the participants. The training should give DAFM staff a broad understanding of the food industry, in order to deepen their understanding of their role in food safety and the implementation of official controls under Regulation (EU) 2017/625. The training provided must be a combination of presentations and workshop sessions (whether delivered face to face or in a trainer-led virtual classroom environment).
