The role of the Property Management Unit (PMU) in the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has expanded considerably in recent years with the publication of the Global Ireland 2025 Strategy, the phased opening of 26 new missions and significant new projects including Ireland Houses in Tokyo and Abuja. With the above in mind, the Department of Foreign Affairs request a quotation for the provision of an expert Audio Visual (AV) advisor to help develop a strategy, specification and drawings to assist PMU in developing an AV solution for current new building projects in Tokyo and Abuja and from this to development of a standard specifications for future projects aligned to three different Embassy/Consulate types A, B & C referred to below. In addition to this the AV Consultant will be required to assist PMU over a three year period on a draw down basis as AV queries arise on particular projects including new missions and refurbishment works to existing missions.
