MFCP2020 01 - Supply of 1 x chassis for use as fire service water tanker

Monaghan fire service has one tanker to assist in its operational fire-fighting water requirements for the functional area of county Monaghan. The water tanker is constructed from a composite body that carries 8500litres of water and stores a portable 10,000litre water damn, light portable pumps, foam and breathing apparatus equipment. It is housed on a 4x2 chassis, this chassis is approaching 23 years old and is located in Monaghan fire station. Monaghan Fire & Civil Protection is looking to purchase 1 x Chassis for use as a Fire Service Water Tanker. The tendered chassis will be used to replace the older chassis located at Monaghan Fire Station. The tendered chassis will be required to carry the current tanker body and all equipment associated with it. The tender chassis must suit the tanker body and it will not incur structural modifications to the composite tanker body. The cost of delivery of the vehicle chassis to the nominated location at the time of placing order shall be included in the tender price
