6269 - Upgrading of Paving at Killarney Main Street.

In summary, under this contract the successful tenderer shall be responsible for; the excavation of existing pavement structure, transportation of pavement bricks to Kerry County Council’s Killarney Depot for cleaning, cleaning of the pavement bricks to a standard where they can be reused and re-laid, transportation back to site where they are to be re-laid. The successful Tenderer will be required to take on the role of Project Supervisor for the Construction Stage (PSCS). The tenderer will must source identical paving blocks and purchase to install with blocks that are being reused. The Tenderer will be responsible for excavating blocks, grout and bedding down to an existing reinforced concrete slab where it will be cleaned to the required standard of where the new pavement can be laid upon it. An existing eco - drain running along the existing paving structure has also failed and needs to be replaced & reinstalled. The successful Tenderer is to construct a whole new pavement structure consisting of Dark Grey Granite Paving Blocks, New Eco - Drain, High Strength Bedding, Primer, Grout/ Joint Mortar & Sealer upon the existing reinforced slab to the approval of Kerry County Council.
