Gardenfield 2020 - The proposed works will comprise the construction of a first floor extension to include a classroom, toilets, stairwell and new side entrance lobby.

The works will include the removal of the existing roof, building up of external walls and window opes. A new roof of similar pitch will be constructed to enclose a first floor classroom with toilets. A new stairwell will be constructed adjacent to the existing east elevation side entrance. A new lobby will be created to groundfloor. The existing class rooms to ground floor were originally built with structural hollowcores to their ceiling which will act as the floor of the new first floor classroom. The works will include the provision of all electrical and mechanical installation including the provision of a new boiler to accommodate the increased heating capacity. The new roof will be constructed of prefabricated timber trusses to be certified by manufacturer to accommodate the required span of 11.5m.
