TCCMACH05052020 - RFT for 4 No. 7.5 Tonne Crewcab Pickup Trucks

1.2. Tipperary County Council (TCC) Machinery Section is currently seeking to Purchase of 4 No. 7.5 Tonne Crewcab Pick-up Trucks. This process will require the Purchase of 4 no. Crewcab Pick-up Trucks depending on cost, cost-benefit analysis and Tipperary County Council Finance Sections approval. 1.3. The minimum required life span of the vehicle is 10 years and due to the nature of the usage, minimum downtime is a prime consideration. It is imperative that parts are available for maintenance of the vehicle throughout the 10 year life. 1.4. The vehicles must comply with the statutory provisions laid down in current Road Traffic Regulations. It should be designed for acceleration combined with good road holding and crew safety considerations. The life expectancy of the vehicles to be at least 10 years. 1.5. The chassis shall be a model commonly sold in Ireland. The chassis must be a standard production model for which spares and mechanical servicing facilities are readily available. The chassis to have a 4.4 metre wheelbase (approx) The vehicles to have a Crewcab capable of carrying a driver and five passengers.The vehicles must be suitably equipped with lighting, heating and ventilation.
