1952 - First Day Cover Supply Services

An Post is seeking to enter into a Single Party Framework Agreement with one supplier for First Day Cover Supply Services for a period of 3 years (36 months) with an option to extend for up to a further 2 years (24 months). An Post sells and distributes First Day Covers (FDCs) for each new stamp issue to philatelic collectors and other interested parties. Approximately 14 – 20 first day issues are distributed each year (but numbers may increase or decrease depending on annual stamp programmes). Generally, each issue consists of approximately 3,640 FDCs, (3,000 fully assembled i.e. stamps affixed & cancelled & 760 unassembled i.e. no stamps affixed or cancellation applied). Approximately two issues per year will have an additional FDC for a miniature sheet. Separate artwork (envelope and insert) will be provided. The general requirement for miniature sheet FDC is 3,000 fully assembled FDC. Miniature sheet FDC to be delivered with its accompanying stamp FDC.
