2019 Outsourcing KARE's ICT Support

KARE is a voluntary organisation providing a comprehensive range of services for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families in County Kildare, East Offaly, West Wicklow and North Carlow. KARE employs approx. 600 staff, including permanent, temporary, full-time and part-time staff, in approx. 34 sites. KARE currently has contracts for similar ICT support, as described in this document, which are coming to an end and KARE is required to go to tender again. This tender is for a two-year contract, with an option to extent for up to two further 12-month periods. This RFT is for a user facing IT helpdesk with break / fix support for our Computers (approximately 275 across the sites) and for support for our Servers (2 physical, with 3 virtual, across 2 sites). The helpdesk will also be involved in Office 365 and AD user administration, as well as handling user queries on general IT issues and Office 365 applications including SharePoint. The successful vendor must be able to provide at least next business day onsite attendance to any of KARE’s sites in the event of a major system issue.
