INVITATION TO TENDER

You are hereby requested to prepare and submit a tender for the above contract complying with the enclosed Instruction to Tenderer (ITT).
You are requested to note in particular the following:
1. RECEIPT OF TENDERS:
The closing date for receipt of sealed tenders is Wednesday 11th September at 12 Noon.
The completed form of tender and all accompanying documentation must be submitted electronically through etenders / or by hard copy to OPW, National Historic Properties, Dame Street, Dublin 2 not later than 12 Noon on that date.
Tenders received after the indicated closing date/time will be rejected.
2. TENDER PRICE:
The Tender Price must be indicated in writing on the Form of Tender & Schedule.
3. MANDATORY VISIT TO SITE
Given the nature of this site it would be important that Contractors visit the site during the Tender period. A site visit is therefore regarded as Mandatory and any tender responses submitted by Contractors who have not visited the site will be excluded.
You will therefore be required to confirm in writing your attendance at the site, the details of which will be available to the assessment team.

4. AWARD CRITERIA
As indicated in the Instruction to Tenderers, this tender will be awarded on the basis of “Lowest Tender Price.
It is important to note however that the documentation requested at “Instruction to Tenderers- Appendix 2 – Additional Information” MUST BE PROVIDED as part of your tender submittal and this will be assessed on a Pass/Fail basis.
If no documentation is submitted for one or both elements, this will be considered as a Fail and your Tender Response will be excluded from any further consideration.

Also note: As per the Suitability Assessment Questionnaire, please ensure the requested information requested within the sections listed below is provided (be assessed on a Pass/Fail basis) as part of your tender submittal:

3.4b Educational and Professional Qualifications (Personnel)
3.4c List Works carried out over the Past 7 years
5. FORM OF CONTRACT
Short Public Works Contract (PW-CF6) will be employed for this contract-copy enclosed.
6. INSURANCE COVERS
Insurance covers indicated will be required.
In particular, note the mimimum requirement for Professional Indemnity cover required for `Works Contractor and PSCS`: €150,000.
Maximum permissible excess on professional Indemnity Insurance below which the `Works Contractor and PSCS` will bear the cost of the claims: €20,000.
The Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland shall not be bound to accept the lowest or any tender. Contractors should not that acceptance of a tender will constitute a binding and enforceable contract.
