NUIG/CON1100/2019 - Supply of multi-pollutant real-time indoor air quality sensor.

A new study, funded by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI), and carried out by NUI Galway researchers, will measure environmental parameters and pollutants to assess the indoor air quality in Irish homes that are energy efficient (i.e. that have an “A” standard on the Building Energy Rating scale). A portable, lightweight sensor unit is required that can monitor a range of indoor air pollutant and thermal parameters. All sensor units will be delivered in the first instance to the research team at NUI Galway. A member of the research team will then install up to four of these units in rooms (typically kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom) of a single participant dwelling, and up to 80 dwellings will be simultaneously monitored over a period of 18 months.
