Lower Glanmire Road - Resurfacing and footpath reconstruction

The contract consists of approximately 33,400 m2 of road resurfacing comprising planing of existing surfaces to a depth of 100mm and laying of 40mm of polymer modified stone mastic asphalt over a 60mm layer of dense bituminous macadam binder course. The Contract includes improvement of road drainage where required, repositioning utility covers and replacement of all road markings and other ancillary works necessary for the completion of the contract. In addition to the above, approx. 5,300 m2 of footpath reconsruction works are being carried out under the Contract.
