You are invited to tender for the long term supply of Double USB Charging Sockets to Iarnród Éireann in line with the attached tender documentation.

Tenderers are reminded to read the documents carefully and ensure that all required information is submitted when submitting your tender.
I wish to draw your attention to the following specific requirements of the tender process;
a. The tender process is being conducted under the negotiated procedure.
b. In relation to your pricing, you are required to provide a comprehensive breakdown of all costs to supplement your commercial offer. Tenderers are required to complete the Tender Form carefully and satisfy themselves that all costs have been taken into account. Companies are permitted to supply secondary commercial information if they feel that it substantiates their offer in greater detail.
c. In relation to the tender form contained within the conditions of tender, it is important that your tendered price must be fully inclusive of all charges (but excluding VAT). If there are any areas of your submission for which you have made assumptions, you are required to list these assumptions as part of your tender submission.
d. To participate in the process, and to confirm that it is your intention to submit a tender, all tenderers are required to submit a completed ‘Tender Acknowledgement’.
e. Site visits (if required) to view the proposed installation on the vehicles can be accommodated by contracting aisling.norton@irishrail.ie Site visits will take place in Connolly Station, Dublin 1. PPE (high visibility jackets, safety footwear, bump caps, safety glasses) will be required to be provided by each tenderer as no PPE will be provided by IÉ. Failure to supply PPE may result in cancellation of the site visit so please ensure that this is arranged in advance.
f. The physical sample of your proposed Double USB Charging Socket can be sent directly to Gary Mander at the address contained within the Technical Specification. This sample socket should be sent to arrive no later than 12.00 Noon on Wednesday 13th February 2019.
Tenders should be completed and uploaded electronically via the eTenders platform and in accordance with the enclosed conditions of tendering no later than – 12.00 Noon on Wednesday 13th February 2019.
