Outdoor Gyms - Framework for the Design and Installation of Outdoor Gyms

The procurement relates to the establishment of a framework for the provision of the design and construction of outdoor gyms in Kildare. Kildare County Council are seeking suitably qualified companies or businesses to form the Framework. The establishment of the framework will be based on an initial tender competition relating to the design and construction of outdoor gyms in Moone Playground, Lourdesville Playground, Kildare Town and Harbour Field, Maynooth to cater for the local children in the area.

This framework is being established by means of an open procedure. The winning tenderer will be awarded the contract for these 3no. initial locations as contained in this competition and will be awarded a position on the framework for the respective lot(s). The maximum number of tenderers to be admitted to the framework is 10. Therefore in addition to the winning tenderer, tenderers  ranked 2 to 10 (max), whilst not winning the initial contract, will be admitted to the framework listing. Thereafter work will be awarded on the basis of mini-competitions for various works accross this county.

The initial contract will be for an initial period of 12 months. The contracting authority reserves the right to extend the the period or periods of the contract by 12 months up to a maximum of 3 extensions on the same terms and conditions.

The contracting authority estimates that the value of the work over the period of the framework maybe up to €250,000 excld VAT. This is a figure based on current and future usage.
