2018 - SmartPly 11 - SmartPly invites proposals for the supply of Civil Engineering Services at Smartply Europe DAC

Smartply proposes to install a new OSB dryer, with a heat energy plant, sized to provide heat energy for both drying and thermal oil heating. New high efficiency screens will also be installed. The new equipment will be installed on open ground, in a location to the west of the main factory building. To support this project Smartply are seeking civil enegineering services for the following packages; Scope of Requirements: Package 1: Provide QS services to estimate cost of Civil Construction works, based upon Pre-engineering data. Timeline: Jan-Mar 2019. • Liaise with equipment Supplier during Pre-engineering phase. • Provide design-drafting services for layout diagrams, etc. Package 2: 1) Preparation of Tender Documents (Based on data from equipment Vendor detailed design phase). Timeline: Jul-Sept. 2019. o Liaise with Main equipment suppliers for data. o Prepare drawings & documents for Tendering of Design/Build Construction Contract  Update drawings as required.  Provide building & structural specifications. 2) Tender Review. Timeline: Oct – Nov. 2019. Package 3: Design calculations for support steel & verification of fabricator’s drawings. Timeline Q4 2019. Package 4: 1) Supervision of Construction works 2) Assigned Certifier. Timeline: Q1 & Q2 2020.
