RFT 32.2018 - Prefabricated Pitts

Dublin Bus is looking to purchase 2 new prefabricated pits for the purpose of vehicle inspections and aiding the maintenance of the fleet. The new prefabricated pits are to be fitted in the existing garage (Artic Area) in Harristown. The garage is scheduled to undergo civil / structural works in phases from late 2018 – late 2019. Dublin Bus will be tendering for a Main Contractor in Q3-2018 for this works, with appointment due in Q4 2018. That Main Contractor will be installing the required civil works to accommodate the pits. The successful tenderer for this equipment will be a named specialist supplier novated into the Main Contract. The successful tenderers’ price for this piece of equipment will be inserted into the Main Contract pricing document. The supplier of the equipment will enter into a contract with the Main Construction Contractor, yet to be appointed. The Main Contractor will be placing the order for the equipment through their contract, based on their programme and advised equipment lead time. The supplier of the pits will be paid through the Main Contract, with Dublin Bus as the overall project client. The tenderer for this equipment will be expected to return a price that can be held for 18 months from date of tender return. The successful tenderer must account for the supply, install, and commissioning of the equipment along with training of Dublin Bus personnel. The successful tenderer must be able to provide full details and drawings of any civil works requirements, when requested, for inclusion into the Main Contract.
