CCC_RLRDO_RD_2018_006 - Cork County Council - Mallow Bridge Boardwalk Works

The works consist of the construction of a boardwalk structure adjoining the existing Mallow Bridge on the R620 in Mallow Town, County Cork. General description of the works is as follows: -Site setup and maintenance; -Provision, maintenance and removal of access; -Traffic management; -Demolition of existing toilet block; -Installation of boardwalk on upstream side of Mallow Bridge - elements of piling and installation of tie bars a likely requirement; -Installation of new ducting and rerouting of existing public utility services including Eir, Traffic Signals, ESB, Irish Water, Public Lighting; -Installation of new public lighting columns and associated plant and appliances; -Cleaning and masonry pointing of existing bridge structure which is a national monument; -Removal of footway from structure and repaving of existing carriageway; -Creating tie in between existing footway and proposed boardwalk; -Installation of rubbing strips on bridge deck; -Relocation of existing monument from bridge deck to agreed location nearby; -Other works to the fabric of each structure may be included along with some routine maintenance works such as graffiti removal, clearing of gully's and clearance of vegetation etc.;
