Dear Applicant,
You are invited to submit a tender for the following proposed project: Rossbeigh Walkway
Glenbeigh Community Council Ltd. Charity No. 20075941, propose to construct a 260 meter walk way and landscaping strip at the entrance of Rossbeigh Strand including fencing, relocating of ESB poles and service ducts, drainage and all other necessary ancillary works.
The proposed works are to be carried out adjacent to the R564 near the entrance to Rossbeigh Strand, Glenbeigh, Co. Kerry.
Works are to commence by October 10th 2018 with a view to completing all works by December 14th 2018. The works will have to be carefully scheduled by the Health & Safety coordinator in conference with the contractor, the client, and the local authorities as the R564 is a busy road to the local amenity of Rossbeigh Strand.
The project has received approval in principle from the funding organisation, Leader and the contract will be awarded subject to final approval from the body. You are requested to return the tender in hard copy via post or had delivered to Glenbeigh Community Council Ltd., Glenbeigh Community Centre, Glenbeigh, Kerry for the attention of The Secretary Mr. Gerard Burke, before Tuesday 04th September 2018 at 17:00.
The returned documents should be returned complete and shall include all documents and schedules as outlined in the Instruction to Tender in particular the Form of Tender and Scope of Works pricing document attached.
The applicant is requested to fill out and sign the Works Declaration LEADER (WDL) 1.0 Declaration of Suitability for Contractors for Works (Open Procedure Only) form attached. Notwithstanding the provisions of this document the applicant is also requested to provide the following information with the tender:
1. Tax clearance certificate.
2. Proof of relevant insurance certificates as outlined in the Form of Tender
3. Company C.V. including all qualifications and experiences of the various operatives and management that will be working on and supervising the project
4. Details of quality control measures in place for the sampling and testing and certifications of the various materials and/or works as required.
5. A list of subcontractors proposed for the various works and relevant qualifications and experience in particular details of the lighting designers and suppliers.
6. A list of 5 recent similar projects where the applicant delivered those projects on time and within budget along with contact details for the clients as reference.
7. Details of any pending or previous legal proceedings in the last 5 years whether successfully defended or not.
8. The applicant must be willing and capable of commencing works on site no later than 10th October 2018 and must demonstrate the ability to do same.
9. The applicant must visit the site prior to issuing the tender and document same.
The awarding of the contract shall be price based provided all the items as set out above and as requested in the tender documents are provided satisfactorily.
