UCC/2018/54 - Commercial Lead Contractor for Microbiology Spin Out

Our business idea is to spin out SeqBiome [not yet formed], a company that will provide high-quality and interactive sequencing and microbiome analysis for academia and industry, on a worldwide stage. The offering will be comprehensive and span the microbiome project continuum from statistical study design, to sample processing, sequencing, compositional and functional microbiota analysis, to biostatistical bioinformatic analysis and publication/patent ready outputs. Collectively, these service components represent a unique selling point that will create actionable microbiome insights exceeding those of competitors. In preparation for this incorporation, we need to recruit a commercially experienced entrepreneur to work with the co-founders to form an investible, commercially sustainable spin-out. This Commercial Lead (contractor) must have significant commercial and entrepreneurial experience in the Life Sciences. Once incorporated, (s)he will hopefully remain with the company through its foundation in a key managerial role.
