2018 - Building Works - Completion of New School Extension Midleton

Works Completions on halted Works for the Extension of the existing post-primary education facilities at and on the grounds of St Colman’s Community College, Youghal Road, Midleton, Co. Cork. The extension, comprises 3 No. Buildings with a total floor area of 5,640m²: A teaching block of 35 no. additional classrooms and ancillary spaces, A new two-storey stand-alone Sports Hall building with ancillary changing facilities, and A single-storey stand-alone engineering room with associated stores. The Works had previously been certified at approximately 80% complete. The work will involve completion of snags, removal of defective work and undertaking remedial work to the building and associated ancillary site development works, testing of completed building systems, completion of the safety file, assembly of ancillary BACR certs and signing the BCAR completion certificate.
