TD-18-0141 - Supply of Soil to Powerstown Landfill

Proposal are invited from interested parties to supply and deliver approximately 25,000m3 of non contaminated, non hazardous, inert subsoil in accordance with Clause 601 of the Specification for Roadworks. Material shall be Class 1a, 1b or Class 2 type material defined in table 6/1 in the Specification. Powerstown Landfil W0025/4 is a licensed site, located adjacent to the M9, Eircode R93 RF22. The conditions associated with acceptance are: - - At least 10,000m3 must be delivered before the 31st August 2018 with remainder before the 31st March 2019 (The full quantity may be delivered in 2018) - interested Parties must demonstrate that they have required permits to transport the material - Interested parties must observe site rules and demonstrate that they can comply with H&S requirements - Delivery must be arranged during opening hours or agreed time but in accordance with the terms of the license - Interested parties must outline the where the material is sourced and that they have required permission to remove the materials Carlow County Council will accept materials from interested parties (or parties) to fulfill the requirement, that submit the most economically advantageous proposal(s). Material delivered from the selected party or parties will be subject to inspection for each load delivered. Material that is not in compliance will be rejected and removed from site. Carlow County County in this case then reserves the right to cancel the arrangement for acceptance of materials and make arrangements to fulfill the delivery requirement with other interested parties.
