The Construction of an extension to School and all associated site works
At Knockskagh, Clonakilty, Co. Cork.
Dear Sir / Madam,
Enclosed please find Construction Drawings, Preliminary Health and Safety Plan and Insurance Questionnaire for the above mentioned at Knockskagh National School, Knockskagh, Clonakilty, Co. Cork. You are invited to tender for the Contract for the aforementioned as per the tender drawings and specifications enclosed.
The successful Contractor will be required to start on site the 1st August 2018 and be completed by the end of June 2019.
The Contractor will be appointed as the Project Supervisor Construction Stage in accordance with the current Health & Safety Regulations. He will be responsible for the Health & Safety of the site and will have to liaise with all other Contractors to ensure a safe working environment for all, in accordance with the current Health & Safety Regulations and prepare a Construction Health & Safety Plan and Method Statements as required by the Regulations which will also include for your Domestic Sub-Contractors
The successful Contractor will be the Main Contractor for the entire Project and will have to prepare a Health & Safety file containing all relevant as-built drawings and information for all Contractors to be handed to the Engineer when the project is completed.
Contractors to allow for own site office and stores and cleaning up the site including excess material and packaging after himself and his men and removing all the rubbish from the site.
Contractors to allow for off-loading, hoist, ladders, scaffolding, tools and leads etc. Only a central electrical board will be provided by the Client, any other item required for the completion of this project will be provided by the Contractors. The Contractor will be required to provide any lighting he requires.
The successful Contractor will be required to submit to Declan O’ Shea B.E.,M.I.E.I. Consulting Engineer Ltd. a copy of:
(i) Current Tax Clearance Certificate and also to make the original available for inspection.
(ii) Contractor's Insurance’s.
(iii) Current Enforced Safety Statement
The successful Contractors will also be required to indemnify Board of Management of Knockskagh National School against any claims.
The successful Contractors will also be required to satisfy Board of Management of Knockskagh National School that their insurances are in order and a copy of the Contractor’s Insurance is to be supplied to this office.
The tenders will be assessed based on a Most Economically Advantageous Tender received with weighted award criteria as set out on the accompanying documents.
The site can be inspected by prior arrangement with this office.
Tenders to be returned not later than 5p.m. on the 15th July 2018 marked for the attention of Chairman, Board of Management, Knockskagh National School, Knockskagh, Clonakilty, Co. Cork.
