Iarnród Éireann Call for Competition – Supply of Engine Filters for CME Rolling Stock
Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) have a requirement for engine filters (air, oil, fuel) to be supplied to a number of maintenance locations nationwide to support the running maintenance activities of the Chief Mechanical Engineer.
The supply and stock availability of engine filters is of paramount importance to IÉ.
Accordingly, IÉ are seeking expressions of interest from companies with a proven track record of supplying engine filters as part of a long term supply agreement to participate in the tender process for a 3 year agreement with the option to extend by an additional year at the discretion of IÉ subject to satisfactory performance.
The successful tenderer will have access to and be supported by the equipment OEM to assist IÉ in instances where technical assistance is required or new products become available.
The filters are required for MAN (D2876LUH01) and Cummins (NTA955 R1 and B-Series) engines.
The majority of filters are either MANN or Fleetguard and to maintain warranty obligations with 3rd party service providers IÉ are not in a position to trial or test alternative filters.
IÉ do however have a requirement for a number of Air-Filters for which alternative makes of filter may be considered.
This requirement is being advertised in 3 separate lots and companies can apply for one, two or all lots.
