2/2018 - Dunmanway Community Hospital proposed extension, refurbishment and alteration works

Dunmanway Community Hospital located in Dunmanway, Co. Cork supports older people within the Dunmanway catchment area. The original two-storey building was established as a residential centre in 1950. Modernised between 2007 and 2008, resident accommodation is now within a ground floor purpose built unit . The centre provides long term, respite and palliative care for 23 residents. Other facilities on site include a day-care centre and dental surgeries.

The Health Service Executive now propose a new extension, with and including internal alteration and refurbishment works to comply with statutory regulations SI 415/2013 and SI 293/2016

New build accommodation comprise recreation room , sitting room, resident/visitor meeting room and communal wc; internal refurbishment of existing ensuite , kitchen staff changing, cleaners store, kitchen wc, kitchen cleaning room , sitting room , communcal wc;together with upgrade works to fire alarm system, emergency lighting system, general lighting and water services 

A maximum of 8 economic operators will be shortlisted and invited to tender for the works, provided that there are sufficient qualified applicants available as a result of the prequalification process
